* Protect Desktop While You Are Away With Virtual Blinds *
Unless you are totally alone in your office all day, its always possible that somebody drops by and see what appears on your computer. If you have to leave your desk all of a sudden, what would you do? Put your Mac to sleep? Or would you rather turn off your computer even if you are going to be away for a few minutes?
Blinders lets you pull down virtual blinds so that you can protect your screen (except the menu bar and the Dock) while you are away. Its a status-menu application. And all you have to do is choose Roll Down Blinds from its status menu to shield your desktop. You can prompt the user for your password when he or she tries to roll up virtual blinds.
Just because virtual blinds are lowered to protect your screen, that doesnt mean that its free from curious individuals. They can just switch from this application to another to mess up with your Mac. Blinders can actually capture iSight snapshots when somebody switches to another application. So you can visually find out who has accessed your Mac while you were away.
